M.Sc. is a Master of Science while MA is a Master of Arts. Both the degrees take almost 2 years to complete. MA degree is related to arts, history, English, or English meanwhile M.Sc. will be in fields like biology, engineering, chemistry, etc. MA is a terminal degree while MSC isnot.
The major difference between M.Sc. AND MA is that M.Sc. is a postgraduate taught programme, and MA is a postgraduate research programme.
